Welcome  to my blog site.  I love to watch things… “Bend and stretch…reach to the stars, there goes Jupiter, here comes Mars”…an excerpt of the song from Romper Room, an American children’s television series that was franchised and syndicated from 1953 to 1994.  The program was mainly for preschoolers created and produced by Bert Claster and his presenter wife, Nancy, of Claster television.  In addition, I also enjoyed other children’s programs such as Captain Kangaroo, Sesame Street, and Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. 

The greatest part of Romper Room was the bright sparkling feeling I had every time I looked into the magic mirror to imagine being the best in everything I could do. Then one day when I was 5 years old reality took the glimmer away in the magic mirror.  Despite of all this, I was so determined and verbally discreet in saying that I wanted to be a star.  I remember at that time, no one ever said what kind of a star I would like to be nor encouraged me to pursue that dream.  My desired thought patterns in my brain at that joyous and exuberant youthful moment in time, only took just one mass of dendrites to unfortunately turn into devastating transmission trouble’s and then get tangled up into flustered negative thought patterns that said,………. “You can’t!”  My confidence and self-esteem inside me took upon an erratic rough, stumbling, abrasive, traumatic and frustrating disposition.

How I rebuilt my inner self to adapt and profoundly grow from a destructive, desolate state of mind to a now, more constructive, adaptable, supple, the reason for my blog site…..“PLIABLE PLACE” had to do with positive teachings and instinct(s) that made me feel good---safe from harm. Where that came from was from some very special wholehearted human beings in my life that cared enough to reach out to me over the years.  My thanks to them will always be endless!  Even though the meaning of my difficult experiences took a toll on me from time to time, only the positive ones that made me feel worthy, filled with empathy and encouragement I’d learned through the years, are presently, what I’d rather see through that magic mirror to end any day in a grateful way.  “Bend and Stretch, reach for the sky, stand on tippy toe, oh so high.” Life will always be intriguing when energetic minds of the young and old thrive on curiosity.  Ongoing curiosity generates the sense of intellect.   When interest in a subject is maintained the outcome of learning becomes more beneficial.

The school year has been long underway and teachers have busily prepared classrooms, virtual and in person, provided information on what kind of supplies are needed for students.  Overall, how the whole format on the process of learning is going to evolve and take place as the year goes by. I will post pictures, items/materials used, with basic directions, videos and games and organize them into seasonal and “any time” activities to do, as well as have access to materials/resources, where to get them, even purchase them when needed.  Once this is all established you will be able to use what is on this site and find hopefully the best exceptional educational resources and materials that have worked extraordinarily well for me.
